2023 ELECTIONS: INEC EXTENDS VOTERS’ REGISTRATION INDEFINITELY

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has extended the ongoing voters’ registration indefinitely.

In a memo signed by the secretary to the commission, Rose Oriaran-Anthony, the commission instructs all resident electoral commissioners to continue with the CVR exercise.

She added that the commissioner is making necessary arrangements to increase the number of human and material resources needed for the exercise in a bid to ensure that no one is disenfranchised during the elections

It could be recalled that INEC had initially set Thursday 30^th June 2022 as the deadline for the CVR which many Nigerians kicked against.
